Welcome to my home brewing blog!

Welcome to my home brewing blog!

My name is Jamie and I live in Grand-Falls, NB.  I’ve been homebrewing for six years and all grain for the last three years.  Each year I set myself new homebrewing goals and this year I wanted to create blog.  I want to share my recipes, processes and ideas with other homebrewers and, in the process, learn something new and have feedback from the readers.  I also want to start writing my tasting notes and take pictures of my beers, which will be posted here.

I tend to brew alot of Belgian and American-style beers, but I also like to make unusual styles (ex: lambics, brett beer), play around with different ingredients and making hybrids (ex: belgian ipa).

I’m also a member of the New-Brunswick Craft Brewer Associations.  If you live in NB, you need to be part of this!

Why the windvane? I do most of my brewing sessions in my garage which has a cockvane on the roof.  My house was previously owned by my uncle, who was very fond of the cockvane.  He lost his battle to cancer almost two years ago so I’ve made the logo as a tribute to him.  Salut Richard!

Hope you enjoy my blog :)  Cheers!
